One Week that we left La Rochelle , after our first tour part with the chimpfrog IVAN REBROFF'S ARMPITS.
Last show with them in Toulouse was ok , we met new people , saw some older friends and Les Pavillons Sauvages is a place really nice , and so useful for Toulouse Independant Culture.
Quiet after show for us , we have to leave early in the morning to come back home.
We decide to cancel our show in Italy on 10th because the show moved in another place which has volume problem , and we can't play softer.
So we cancelled the house party show on 9th as well and decided to take the road on 10th , by night.
We leave LR on late afternoon and go to Cognac to meet Laurent "La Parade" , also known as GATECHIEN's bass player, who's touring with us on all dates.
Van packing , a quick stop by Angoulême to pick up Baptiste (driver/roadie/sound guy for the tour) who works for Mars Attack/Transgreen association.
(RIP Mars Attack...a great club -maybe the best of our area- is over)
Let's drive to Koper , Slovenia !!!
Long long drive , beautiful landscapes in Savoie , passing through Northern Italy and Milano's traffic jam , we want to visit Venizia but not enough time to do it, next time , i dont care i've been there... and 20 hours later , we arrive in Koper , Slovenia.
Koper is located on adriatic sea , which is one of the most beautiful sea i've seen. Seems to be a touristic city.
Our brand new GPS deosnt work in Slovenia (neither in Croatia) , as it's supposed to do , so we meet one of the organizer on the marina.
We arrive at Koper venue , a cultural center run by really nice people, really involved and motivated.
I love that kind of places, it reminds me squats in Holland , but those places are way more organized than most of indie clubs in France.
After a really good dinner (homemade Minestrone was awesome!!!) , La Parade plays.
Not so much people (maybe 30/40) but good atmosphere.
As usual , people are amazed to see a guy who plays bass,drums,keybard and sings at the same time.
And he writes really good songs , has a big charism and he's too funny.
A good mix between Bourvil and Edward Norton with a bit of Spud (Transpotting)
Then we play , not an amazing show , but we really enjoy.
It's kinda paradoxal because i love good stage like this for the sound on stage , but i miss the proximity with audience...
Headline is brazilian grindy trash band SOCIAL CHAOS. I really like the show , even if i dont listen to that kind of bands at home.
The drummer is amazingly good !!! and the guys are really nice. They tell us that we should tour Brazil abd that they could help us.
FUCK YEAH !!! lets' go to rock Brazil !!!

We wake up not too late , i print all riders of the tour while the other ones load the van (my speciality) , then shower and let's go to Ljubljana , only 1h30 drive. I'm really happy because i love this city. It's beautiful , peaceful and Metelkova where we are gonna play is an amazing complex.
We arrive early so we decide to have a few drinks downtown , at Macek Tavarna (as everytime i come here).
Really good falafel at falafel house to keep it up^and we go at the club , Channel Zero.
Saso , the rpompoter is on tour so this is Matej from Dirty Skunks (really good promoters) who's gonna take care of us.
And he's doing good. We figure out that a show is happening just behind the club , at Galla Hala , and it's free.
So we ask if it's ok to play after that show , otherwise nobody will show up at our gig , which is paying entrance on top of this.
Lot of time before to play and too many bars...ir's dangerous. But we love danger.
Channel Zero manager decides to cancel paying entrance (cool) and La Parade starts to play in front of almost nobody.
2 songs later, a lot of people are here, dancing , partying , that's great !
Same when we play , a so good atmosphere is in the room and we have lots of fun.

We finish night in another club of Metelkova , electro DJ party.
We sleep in a private flat just 20 meters to the venue , sick!

Day Off in Ljubljana , chilling out , drinking Jagermeister , a bit too drunk too early...A show of BERNEY PROPAGANDA , band from Macedonia.
Not my stuff, but it's cool to meet them as we play with them tomorrow.
A good night of sleep is welcome.

Short drive to Kranj , we follow Berney Propaganda to the Izbruh Kulturni Bazen.
This is an ex swimming pool lost in a forest. Nice !
2 venues , a cool and small club (where we play) and a HUGE hall.
We sleep in the future recording studio , that's cool.
Nice foods , lots of drinks , local liquor , not a lot of people but crowd is ok , for a monday.
Good after , too much laughs with Baptiste and his volcano and sleep. Tomorrow , Croatia and border crossing.

We take the road not too late because i'm stressed with the border and the ata carnet.
But border is finally easy. Still stressful but one hour or a bit less to cross the two control points is quite short.
Here we come Zagreb !!!
Squat Medika is really big , people are simply great and too kind , we are all relax and it's a great feeling.
The city is beautiful and so are Zagreb ladies.
We go out to grab some foods and to have a beer in a pub , in front of swiss ambassade , and that explains drinks prices.
When we get back to Medika , Laurent already started to play (and already drunk actually) and there are many people. That's great!
Good ambiance when we play , so that's perfect.
Big afterparty , i leave my french friends , they are in a good mood , and Laurent is naked , Baptiste manage to speak english and Dimi is T2.

I woke up before everybody , it's time for a good shower in the sink.
Refreshing moment , but still the feeling of being dirty as soon as you stay 10 minutes in the van.Nice.
Internet provided so time to work a bit.
We leave for Osijek after a weird pizza in front of we dont know what but a really nice building in Zagreb Centar.
We arrive to Osijek , at the meeting point , but can't find the club Oxygen where we play so we have a walk all around main square , then come back to the meeting point and realize the club is just here. Stupid but this is us.
We meet Mario and his friends , all nice people.Time for a good burek while watching Inter vs Barca.
Show starts , not a lot of preople but great crowd !!! Our best show of the tout so far.
We sleep at Tomo and Kume flat. Those guys are SO kind. good after , drinking (still) local liquors and eating. Then a good sleep.

When we wake up , our host are already cooking a good breakfast , that's so nice.
I go out on the terrasse and see all bullet impacts on the buildings. And it's the same in almost all the city , which is pretty closed to Serbia and really suffered during thre war.
Van has problem with heater since the beggining of the tour, so we decide to go to a garage.
Two garages , diagnostic : one or two days of work....
The mechanics give us advices and say we can continue but we have to be careful.
They didnt ask any money , so that's cool and they are also really kind.
Let's go to Gyor , Hungary. Border crossing is ok , croatian custom officer is really cool and loves rock but hungarian officers are fuckin lazy and slow...
We arrive at Red Rocket Club 3 hours late , no problem.
Almost nobody (maybe 15 people) but a french couple we met in Ljubljana. Nice to see them again.
Show is not follichon but stage conditions are great.
Then , the hardest afterparty we had....lots of shots , we finish the jagermeister reserve , dance on 90's hits , naked french dude hip hop burning mowhawk...

Hard to wake up for some of us, then to a store to buy cheaper booze (less taxes). Van is now loaded of jager bottles.
As i'm writing this , we are in Outback backstage , a great club in Wolkersdorf near Wien. This the first show after summer break so promoter expects some people. Would be cool !
We are all quiet here. Too quiet. Looking for a party.

ToLoose

First update for this tour.
We are in Toulouse at Pierro's place , our home in Toulouse.
I think i come here at least twice a year since i know him (almost 10years).
Pierro is that kind of dude that you can speak with for hours and hours and you learn so many things.
Just a simple man with an incredible life and a kindness really rare.
And he knows how to do great things , really tight and passionate at same time.
An example for me actually.
Tonight we play at les Pavillons Sauvages , in the new venue with new stage and PA so should be really fun.
So far , gigs went good , around 50 people every night and nice parties.
Great afterparty in Madrid at Wurlitzer ballroom (where we played one year ago) and a show in the nice venue Ritmo Y Compas. Muchas gracias again and again to Alex Nooirax Prod.
Logrono was kick ass night , wtih kick ass foods and kick ass show !!! GRACIAS Cere y Guti !!!
Big Up to Guti's parents for the house, the so modern and brutal shower , and the Jesus Cyclism decoration.
Bayonne was kinda savage , but really cool as well. Thank you Franck and Maya.
Thanks also to Felix (Willis drummond/Monarch drummer) for coming.
We drove to Toulouse after the show , arrived around 6am and went to bed straightly...
Last show tonite with our friends Boubou , Bruno and Pierro , after 4 days of jagerbombs chimpfrog happy moments.
So last party before to return back home to prepare last details for the biggest part of our european tour.
